Archdale Slot Car Raceway was opened in late 1992.It has been in operation for about 9 years now.Racing here has been top notch with people from all over the world stopping by.The history of this place is a little fuzzy since things have changed from year to year.The owner of the shop is Garland Brown.He was the president of the USRA mid-south division for many years.Some people loved his presidency others,well,did not.Overall he is well liked by all that have raced with him.Now Garland is in the business for sure.All of the races are well planned and go to the letter of the rules.He believes that if it is a rule it is.

The parts counter is stocked with all the latest and greatest items availible to the racers.Garland keeps in touch with the manufactureres and distributors on a constant bassis.This allows you to be up with all the latest news.The shop also has some special items not availible anywhere else.

The location of the shop is also great.It has to things that all men love. There is a Sub shop beside the track and there happens to be a computer shop in the same shopping center. We now have a Drag Strip where the gun store use to be. Come join the fun on Monday and Friday nights at 7:30. Drag racing at its finest Bracket light on Monday nights and Pro tree on Friday nights. Get your dial in's and lets go racing. Motels are also close by and are within just a few blocks.
